About Peter

Peter Övgård is a gaffer based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Since 2009, Peter has worked in the lighting department on more than 1,200 productions – from large commercials and music videos to TV drama and feature films.

As a gaffer you lead the lighting and electrical team on set. You take the cinematographer's vision and turn it into a working lighting plan: choice of lamps and equipment, generators and power, rigging, DMX control and a team that delivers on time.

What I do

• Lighting design and technical scouting
• Equipment lists and budgets for lighting and electrics
• Generators, power calculations and cabling
• DMX and lighting control
• Leading the electrical crew on set
